The Vers Imperial Forces are the military forces of the Vers Empire government that is to fight against Earth and its citizens from the United Earth. Following the First Earth-Mars War, the Orbital Knights were stuck in Earth orbit unwilling to leave.
History
After the discovery of the Hyper Gate by Apollo 17 on the Moon, the colonization of Mars began with the discovery of Aldnoah. This allowed for Rayregalia Vers Rayvers to claim independence from Earth. Thus the creation of the Vers Empire came, which claimed that the Emperor inherited the authority of Aldnoah was formed. With tensions rising between the two, the United Earth government created a military force to potentially combat any aggression made by the Vers Empire. The military was utterly defeated in the First Earth-Mars War.
Strengths
Unlike the United Forces of Earth, the Vers Empire possesses the powerful Aldnoah. When applied to their Kataphrakts, the power of Aldnoah gives their mechs powerful secondary abilities, such as powerful anti-kinetic shields, plasma utilizing weaponry and more. To use the Aldnoah Drive, one must possess the Activation Factor - which only the Royal Family and the 37 Orbital Knights possess. If the pilot of a Knight Kataphrakt is killed, the Aldnoah Drive will cease to work, preventing any and all hopes for replicating the power.
Military Branches
Orbital Knights: The Vers Empire Orbital Knights' 37 Clans, each have control over a Landing Castle which allows them to act as independent military units. The Knights compete with one another and have shown little to no interest in cooperation. Most of them are elitists who look down on the humans living on Earth.
