In 1972, the Apollo 17 mission discovered a Hyper Gate to Mars on the surface of the Moon. Soon, the First Earth-Mars War breaks out between Earth and Mars. Armed with powerful mechs called Kataphrakts, the Martian soldiers begin to descend from the sky in fortresses called Landing Castles, intent on exterminating all Earthlings.

United Earth (commonly abbreviated as U.E.) is one of two factions in Aldnoah.ZERO RPG. U.E. is the government that controls Earth and directly opposes the Vers Empire in the war.

Humans are referred to as Old Humanity and Terrans by citizens of the Vers Empire.
