Overview
The Second Earth-Mars War is the second and currently ongoing major conflict fought between United Earth and the Vers Empire, starting on July 5, 2014.

On July 5, 2014, after waiting 15 years since the end of the First Earth-Mars War that started with Heavens Fall, the death of Princess Asseylum Vers Allusia during her goodwill visit to Earth gave the Orbital Knights a pretext to renew their war with Earth. As a result, Landing Castles descended from the heavens. The initial landing points are New Orleans, Beijing, Maputo, and Tokyo where it is believed that a Landing Castle will come down in Japan within 20 km of Ichigaya or Chiyoda Ward.
One castle hit New Orleans at 8:05 PM CDT. The impact was so massive that it destroyed a massive part of the city with the power of a nuclear bomb, completely decimating everything caught within the impact radius. Immediately following this event, New Orleans entered a city-wide blackout.
