Kaori is a quite the normal girl at heart, always calm around settings that she is most comfortable in and always one to try and put other before herself even if the results are the same. Around non-work related places such as social gatherings, Kaori is calm and collected and will take charge of her friends group if they need help getting through the day. Having a schedule is one of her preferred things to have, though if the day can be saved by random events then that is okay too. On the other hand, however, Kaori hides her rough side, which is something she's learned to cope with on a daily basis. People or situations that just out right annoy Kaori to her core and weather someone see's her go crazy or not is what she tries to avoid. In a situation of extreme annoyance, She can seem quite composed but in the back of her mind, she is probably trash talking about the current chain of events with pure malice towards the person responsible. It does not matter weather she is on duty as a soldier or working at her part-time job as a waitress; If you give Kaori any reason to think differently of you, then be assured that she is probably telling you to rot in hell.



Kaori is a simplistic fighter who takes preference in fighting from a distance over fighting in close quarters. She is very talented for piloting a Kataphrakt but her skills as one only goes so far; basic movements, weapons systems, limitations, she knows them all and thrives to get better in order to fight against Martian forces of all kinds. Weapons such as rifles and bazooka's are preferred over things like pistols or shotguns, even cannons become her best friend because they have quite the range and firepower, regardless of weight. In close range combat, melee is not problem, but she lacks skill in this department because its not a preferred way to fight. In peacetime, Kaori is a very skilled cook, but she can be very lazy or at times, just too relaxed even for a soldier. Some have criticized her about this but to no fruition, Kaori will just brush them off.



Kaori lived a very normal, simple life in Japan as a child. She was energetic, optimistic, and at times make even the most depressed people around give a small. Things like this were normal for a small girl of her age at the time, but these happy times would soon become mere memories. As the first Martian War ravaged the Earth and its people, the Shirokawa family was forced to move from place to place, avoiding the fighting where ever it showed up. There must have been at least twenty locations around Japan that they had tried to live at including returning to locations after the danger had left certain towns and cities. Kaori was forced to leave friends, new and old, behind and though she was a strong person even as young as she was, a lot of this was traumatizing. The Heavens Fall incident was the one thing that gave her family fear because that was one of the things that they turned to for their own peace of mind. The closing of the war was a well accepted one because even with the feelings of loathing towards the Martian people, they Kaori was, especially, glad to just see it all end. Though this was, of course, not the last she would see of a war.

Finally, the family had managed to settle down in Kyoto, Japan, the affects of the war were very obvious though. Buildings and fields had burning chunks of debris in them, there were craters from the moon fragments that fell from orbit, it was a very hectic situation, but the Shirokawa family could finally rest. In all the moving they did, financial stability was a big worry for them all. Kaori was finally able to get into school for what it was worth, the middle school was very accepting and understanding. She managed to make friends and among them, she learned to appreciate life a little more than she did then; even her hate for the Martians was forgotten as her attention turned from worrying about surviving to just enjoying what she had now. In her last year of High School, Kaori and a bunch of friends decided that joining the Japanese Self Defense Force would be a good idea, but unknown to them, the facility they enlisted at was for the UFE as a whole. Though a bit dumbfounded by the mix up, they continued with the enlistment. Training for battle was hard and tedious, but the work of becoming a soldier for the defense of Earth would later pay off as Kaori used her own smarts to create scenarios for training and even got into piloting the KG-6 Sleipner which was quite new at the time. Training to pilot a Kataphrakt while her friends became foot soldiers or engineers for the Kataphrakts, she excelled at long distance maneuvers and operation scenarios requiring such a distance.

To this day Kaori has only been deployed for the Japanese SDF branch of the UFE in response to the riots all over the country. Though she has yet to see what true war is, Kaori hopes she'll be of at least some use.

Sasori Hitagawa: A female student and best friend to Kaori. Has short red hair, stands at about five feet and seven inches, and is an engineer for Kataphrakt Maintenance.

Dean Isozaki: Male and friend. Has black hair in the flat top style, stands at about five feet and nine inches, and is also an engineer for Kataphrakt Maintenance.

Harutora Inuwara: Male and friend, possibly has a love for him. Has light brown hair in a short slicked style, stands at about six feet. He is a ship helmsmen for things such as the Assault Landing Craft.
